BLINK ART RESOURCE 2020 UPDATES

June 30: Final day for new artists to apply;
July 30: Layout and design completed;
Aug 1: BLINK Resource is released to the printer;

Oct 10: BLINK exhibit/launch party and grand opening for ADC's new headquarters (both virtual and in person);
July 1 – Sept 30: BLINK art works to be selected and exhibited in both galleries

While business will never return to what was normal prior to COVID-19, all of us at BLINK Art and ADC will be returning to “our normal” – helping artists build their careers and grow their audience. And we are taking every step to ensure that we are planning for a brighter and better future for our artists. We will continue exhibitions at both of our galleries – our high traffic ADC East retail space and our new +13,000 sf ADC West gallery and headquarters – by implementing the appropriate safety guidelines and incorporating a Virtual Viewing Experience built to complement the live viewings. We are actively developing Augmented Reality solutions for selling artwork when traveling to our client’s homes and businesses. And our web site is undergoing an update that will optimize and streamline the art buying process and will include industry leading SEO features.

Yes! With the opening of our new ADC West gallery, in addition to our existing ADC East gallery, we will need more art to show and sell. We looked at all of the factors that make the BLINK Art exhibition a success – artist involvement and availability, audience turnout and exposure – and have decided to move the opening to October 10, 2020.

When we looked at the launch of the BLINK Art Resource – and the exhibition opening – we put the needs of our artists above all else. By moving the launch we ensure that our intended audience of top-level national interior designers and galleries will be back in their businesses and ready to create beautiful spaces with your work. With this in mind, we will be supporting our artists by ensuring that all BLINK artists are represented in our new ADC West gallery as early as July 1, 2020 – a full 3 months prior to the BLINK exhibition opening. We will also have all BLINK artists fully represented on our web site by July 1, 2020. By being a BLINK artist you are a part of our entire ADC family, and that means consistent representation in our galleries, social media, marketing and professional design services.

Blink Art Resource will maintain its’ best-in-class print quality and design, including our signature soft-touch/high gloss cover. Our artists have trusted us to represent their work in the best possible manner – and we have stayed true to that commitment.

Our final launch date for all BLINK 2020 artists to be live on our web site is July 1, 2020.

For all artists that have a 2-page spread in the resource, a solo show in one of our four salons at our ADC East retail gallery is one of the added benefits. We will be keeping our previously scheduled June and August shows and are working to establish the best possible show schedule and will release that information to artists as soon as possible.

We have great news about your contracts! We always want our artists to have broad exposure to new audiences and grow their careers. And the best way to accomplish this is to extend all contract to September, 2021. This provides a full year from the date of the launch, and includes representation in our gallery and on our web site as early as July 1, 2020.

Our audience hasn’t changed, but we are taking this time to refine and verify our audience list to ensure that the Resource reaches the best point of contact for each design group and gallery we distribute to.

  

GENERAL QUESTIONS

A subsidiary of Art Design Consultants (ADC Fine Art), Blink Art is a multi-media promotional platform that assists artists with gaining large scale, targeted exposure to the nation’s art sourcing professionals through print, digital, and gallery partnerships.

ADC Fine Art, a group of experienced art consultants specializing in corporate, healthcare, hospitality and residential projects, created Blink Art Resource out of necessity. We needed a constant stream of art by professional artists for new projects but had nowhere to find them. So the best designer sourcebook for art, Blink Art Resource, was born.

Blink Art Resource is quickly becoming the go-to resource for professional buyers. Why? The sourcebook saves professional art buyers time from sourcing artwork from multiple venues, by providing them an annual curated guide for finding a client and/or site-specific works of art. It’s a one-stop catalog of professional artists from all around the nation that have been hand selected to guarantee it is a collection of the most talented and professional artists available.

We’ve had great success involving Blink Art artists in current and upcoming projects! Over 2000 works of art have been sourced since the first edition in 2015. From the print publication, online representation and through shows, Blink artists are sourced for projects by our extensive list of art specifiers daily.

Yes! Our jury is comprised of art and design professionals as well as the Blink Art design, production, and marketing team. Meet the team!

There are fees to have a page in the book and they vary depending on the promotional package you select (digital only, half page, full page, two pages). This fee makes it possible to print, publish, distribute and market an exceptional catalog that has a readership of over 50,000 art buyers.

We accept all major credit cards, PayPal, and even checks, and offer financing plans at no additional fee. There are multiple payment plan options depending on the promotional package and time of registration.

  

COMMISSIONS / SALES

No! If a designer contacts you as a result of using Blink Art Resource you keep 100% of the commission. The Blink Art Resource trade book empowers and provides the tools for artists to establish their own relationship with buyers through direct channels. Designers and art buyers contact artists directly to source and procure art, of which Blink Art will not take a commission. If you would like to sell your through our online art marketplace or in the ADC gallery, we offer a standard commission structure of 50/50.

  

DISTRIBUTION / PROMOTION

We distribute 10,000 catalogs across North America annually. Blink Art Resource is in the hands of over 50,000 interior designers as well as architects, facility managers, gallery owners, art consultants, purchasing agents and art dealers. View the breakdown of our distribution list here.

No list buying here. Our list of designers is thoroughly vetted, and hand selected by our team. Each year we refine the list to ensure that the recipients of the catalog are actively using it to source artwork for projects.

No, the interior designers, art galleries, art consultants, and architects receive one complimentary copy for their business. If they wish to purchase a second copy to have in the office, they can purchase it for $75.00.

It's not just one and done. We don't just send the book out and cross our fingers people are using it. We work hard marketing your work year-round through strategic multi-channel marketing efforts such as digital, print, industry events, gallery shows, social media, and blogs. This keeps you and your artwork top of mind for art buyers when the perfect project comes along.

  

SUBMISSION DEADLINE / DATES

The deadline to sign up for the Blink Art Resource 2020 print publication and submit your application is Friday, February 28, 2020.

After you’ve signed up, the deadline to submit materials is Thursday, March 5, 2020.

Blink Art Resource is an Spring publication and will arrive in the hands of the art and art buying professionals early May 2020.
